Seiberg duality in three dimensions
We analyze three dimensional gauge theories with Sp gauge group. We find that in some regime the theory should be described in terms of a dual theory, very much in the spirit of Seiberg duality in four dimensions. This duality does not coincide with mirror symmetry. ∗Work supported by DFG
متن کاملSeiberg-like duality in three dimensions for orthogonal gauge groups
We propose a duality for N = 2 d = 3 Chern-Simons gauge theories with orthogonal gauge groups and matter in the vector representation. This duality generalizes levelrank duality for pure Chern-Simons gauge theories with orthogonal gauge groups and is reminiscent of Seiberg duality in four dimensions. We perform extensive checks by comparing partition functions of theories related by dualities. ...
متن کاملScalar field collapse in three - dimensions
Scalar field collapse in three-dimensions. Abstract We study an analytical solution to the Einstein's equations in 2 + 1-dimensions, representing the collapse of a circularly symmetric, minimally coupled, massless, scalar field. Depending on the value of certain parameters , this solution exhibits all three, known, end states of a collapse situation: Minkowski space-time after a bouncing, naked...

Scalar field cosmology in three-dimensions. Abstract We study an analytical solution to the Einstein's equations in 2 + 1-dimensions. The space-time is dynamical and has a line symmetry. The matter content is a minimally coupled, massless, scalar field. Depending on the value of certain parameters, this solution represents three distinct space-times. The first one is flat space-time. Then, we h...
متن کاملDuality and hidden dimensions
Using a global superalgebra with 32 fermionic and 528 bosonic charges, many features of p-brane dualities and hidden dimensions are discussed.
